"No mayor in America, no mayor, has the right to pick and choose what laws they want to enforce and basically thumb their nose at the federal government stating that they're not going to enforce immigration laws stating that basically inviting illegal aliens to have a safe haven."
---Congressman Lou Barletta on mayors of sanctuary cites not having the right to disregard federal law when it comes to illegal aliens
Congressman Lou Barletta (R-PA) spoke with Kilmeade & Friends fill in host Mary Walter about the bill he introduced last week, "Mobilizing Against Sanctuary Cities Act, H.R. 83" which would stop any federal funding for sanctuary cities. Rep Barletta is hopeful Congress will get behind the bill and send it to President-elect Trump's desk. Barletta says in order to put pressure on politicians who violate federal law, his bill would require the Attorney General to publish a yearly list of sanctuary cities and those who are on the list will be barred from federal funding until they stop violating federal laws.
