Actor/Director Kevin Costner has joined forces with writer Jon Baird to collaborate on a new project: writing a book series. Costner and Baird’s book The Explorers Guild: Volume 1 is described as a “splendidly designed, action-packed, globe-trotting tale that combines the bravura storytelling of Kipling with the irresistible style of The Adventures of Tintin.”
In this episode of Greta Talk, the co-authors sat down with Greta Van Susteren to discuss their writing process, the book’s beautiful illustrations (done by Rick Ross), and even the importance of taking risks. Costner and the On the Record host also talk about the problems with making movies in Hollywood and the possibility of turning The Explorers Guild into a (15 hour?!) film.
