Gamers Gear Up: The Oculus Rift Coming To A Store Near You
The first stand alone consumer virtual reality headset ready for consumers has it’s release date.

The first VR headset is heading to market.
Gamers will still need to be patient, because it wont reach retail till early next year — but at least now — there is a timeline.
The headset is made by Oculus Rift and backed by Facebook, which spent $2 billion to buy the company.
There’s no word on the sales price or all the technical details.
The headset will need to be used with a PC — which will handle the bulk of the computing necessary to create the illusion of another world.
