The world’s biggest online social network now lets you control your digital afterlife.

FOX on Tech.
Facebook giving some thought to posthumous posts, providing more options for people who want to decide what happens to their accounts after they die.
Facebook now saying it lets users in the U.S. choose someone to manage those accounts.
There are restrictions but the legacy contact would be able to do things like change profile pictures, even respond to new friend requests.
Previously those accounts would have been memorialized or locked so no one else could log in.
Facebook also says it ensures that the account of a deceased user doesn’t show up as a suggested friend or in ways that would upset loved ones.
