Virginia Citizens File Suit Against Katie Couric for Recent Gun Documentary
Katie Couric’s being sued by a group of Virginia citizens for her recent documentary “Under The Gun”.
FOX’s Eben Brown has this week’s “Bullet Points”:

If you’re a fugitive from justice… You’re not supposed to be allowed to buy a firearm. But an internal review by the Justice Department says that in the past 15 years, more than 2,000 gun purchases were permitted to occur because even though the FBI said the buyer was on the lamb with a warrant out, the ATF didn’t think it was a big deal since they were buying the gun in the same state as the warrant. Guns were sold to fugitives. Attempts to retrieve the firearms weren’t made.
Remember that documentary Katie Couric did, where she got into hot water for, um, creatively editing the responses of members of the Virginians citizens defense league, making them look as if they couldn’t answer a question about background checks when a secondary recording proves they answered immediately. Well, they’re suing Couric and her film director for $12 million claiming they were defamed.
And those are your Bullet Points.
