It’s not often that an actor doesn’t support a film they starred in… But that’s now the case with Jim Carrey and “Kick-Ass 2”.

FOX News Radio’s Sabrina Sabbagh reports:

Jim Carrey is no longer supporting his upcoming film, “Kick-Ass 2.”

The actor says he can’t stand behind the movie’s violent themes. He shot the film a month before the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, and following the tragedy that resulted in the death of 20 children and six adults, Carrey says he’s had a change of heart about movie violence.

The actor is a passionate advocate of gun-control and his character in the film, out in August, also refuses to fire a gun.
