Prince Agreed to Meet with Doctor Who Specialized in Opiate Addiction Prior to Death
Prince agreed to meet with a California doctor who specialized in opiate addiction right before his death.
FOX’s Michelle Pollino reports:
A doctor who specialized in opiate addiction was scheduled to meet with Prince on the day that he was found.
William Mauzy, who represents Dr. Howard Kornfeld and his son, Andrew, says Andrew traveled to Minnesota to see Prince after his father was asked to help the singer deal with a painkiller addiction:
(Kornfeld) “The hope was to get him stabilized in Minnesota and convince him to come to recovery above all else in Mill Valley .”
The younger Kornfeld was one of three people to find Prince unresponsive at his home in Paisley Park in Minnesota. He was pronounced dead soon after. Authorities have not released any information regarding Prince’s death.
