Country Music Mourns the Loss of Glenn Frey
Country music community mourns Eagles founder Glenn Frey.

Keith Urban posted on social media, “So deeply saddened to hear of Glenn Frey’s passing. Way too young, blessing to all of his family and the Eagles,” he posted the video accompanying the post.
Travis Tritt said, “Glenn Frey and the music he created alone and with the Eagles have been such an inspiration to me. He always went out of his way to acknowledge and encourage me ever since we recorded together. I’m a better person, better musician, and a better songwriter having met him.”
It was Tritt’s 1993 release of ‘Take it Easy’ that led to a reunion of the band, which eventually led to their 1994 ‘Hell Freezes Over’ tour.
Brooks & Dunn, Vince Gill, Trisha Yearwood, Alan Jackson, and Clint Black, collaborated on an Eagles’ tribute album in 1993 and Black said in a statement that Frey was one of the greatest American songwriters, stating, “I’ve always said he and Don Henley were America’s answer to Lennon and McCartney.”
