Oklahoma Holds Off Executions Until 2016
Oklahoma holds off executions until at least 2016.
FOX News Radio’s Jeff Monosso reports:
In Oklahoma… Attorney General Scott Pruitt’s court filing, he agrees to not request execution dates until at least 150 days after his investigation is complete. The results are made public and that he’s confident the prisons department can comply with the state’s execution protocol.
The probe stems from the state’s use of the wrong drug to execute an inmate in January. Inmate Richard Glossip’s execution last month was also called off over the use of the wrong drug.
The Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals later issued indefinite stays for Glossip and other inmates on death row…
A federal would have to sign off on the state’s latest request.
