Canada Arrests 2 in Train Terror Plot
Police in Canada have announced allegations and arrests in a terror plot against passenger trains.
FOX News Radio’s Steve Taylor has details from Washington:
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police say they’ve arrested two men, one from Montreal, one from Toronto – not Canadian citizens – who planned to derail a train loaded with passengers in the Toronto area.
(Malizia) “Had this plot been carried out, it would have resulted in innocent people being killed or seriously injured.”
Assistant Commissioner James Malizia says police stopped the plot before any attack was close. He also said the accused men got financial support from al-Qaeda in Iran. He would not offer details about that.
