Body, Explosives Found At Fla. College [VIDEO]
UPDATE: Police have identified the man who committed suicide as 30-year-old James Oliver Seevakumaran, a business major who was not enrolled in classes this semester. Authorities say Seevakumaran pointed a weapon at his roommate, who called 911, then shot himself before police arrived. In his backpack, police found four homemade explosive devices. Seevakumaran also had a .45-caliber handgun and 22-magnum tactical rifle in his room, along with a couple hundred rounds of ammo. Investigators also say they found a written “plan of attack” and “timeline” from the gunman following his suicide, and say they are thankful that no one else was hurt.
Police and the FBI are investigating after a student at the University of Central Florida, outside Orlando, is believed to have committed suicide and was in possession of an improvised bomb.
