A plane is still stuck in a house in South Bend, Indiana, the day after a deadly crash killed two and injured three.
FOX News Radio's Jennifer Keiper reports:
Three homes have been damaged by a small plane and the final one it slammed into, mangled. Two of the four on board are dead. The other two, as well as one person on the ground, injured.
South Bend Assistant Fire Chief John Corthier says a lot of fuel leaked into the home that the plane came to rest in, making it a hazardous materials situation.
(Corthier) "That's one of the main reasons why we had the area blocked."
Witnesses say it looks like the plane had mechanical trouble.
St. Joseph County airport officials say the jet attempted a landing before going back up and maneuvering to try another one. Eight minutes later, it was no longer airborne.
