Housecall for Health: Teen Mood Swings a Warning Sign
A teenager’s angry outburst over something mundane could be more serious than a simple mood swing, including a behavioral disorder.
FOX’s Colleen Cappon reports in today’s “Housecall for Health”:
New research suggests teenage mood swings could be something more serious. A Harvard study says nearly 2/3 of U.S. teens have experienced severe fits of violent anger, meaning as many as six million young adults could be diagnosed with Intermittent Explosive Disorder, or uncontrollable anger attacks.
Education experts say the findings signify the importance of identifying and treating this disorder at an early age.
