House Intelligence Committee Sends Subpoenas to Intel Agencies, cites ex-Obama Officials
A key House committee has approved new subpoenas in it’s investigation of Russian election interference.
FOX’s Jared Halpern has more from the White House:
The House Intelligence Committee has approved subpoenas for former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn and President Trump’s long-time personal lawyer Michael Cohen.
And there are reports fired FBI director James Comey will testify as early as next week for the Senate Intelligence Committee, but White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer isn’t responding to questions.
(Spicer) “We are focused on the President’s agenda and going forward all questions on these matters will be refered to outside counsel.”
Last week the President retained lawyer Marc Kasowitz, who has represented President Trump in other cases before the election.
Still, President Trump has downplayed the investigation on Twitter, calling it a witch hunt and an excuse for why Democrats lost.
