Adele Takes Home “Album of the Year” at 59th Annual Grammy Awards

The 59th Annual Grammy Awards is in the books.

A big night for Adele, she takes home five awards, upon receiving the nights top honor for “Album of the Year”, the British soul singer said she thought Beyoncé deserved it:

(Adele) “My artist of my life is Beyoncé and this album for me, the ‘Lemonade’ album was just so monumental.”

David Bowie won four posthumous awards at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards on CBS. Beyoncé won two. A big night for Chance the rapper, who took home three Grammys. And newcomer Maren Morris won ‘Country Solo Performance’ for ‘My Church’.

Politics was weaved throughout the night from the beginning presenter Jennifer Lopez quoting Toni Morrison:

(Lopez) “This is precisely the time when artist go to work, there is no time for despair.”
