How to keep you V-Day expectations in check.
FOX's Ashley Papa has a Valentine's Day special edition of "FOX on Love":
From marriage proposals to lavish weekend getaways, Professional matchmaker, Samantha Daniels, says the expectations, especially women, have on Valentine's Day has reached unrealistic highs:
(Daniels) "They're expecting maybe a ticket to go to Paris for the weekend or they're being taken to the most fabulous restaurant in their city or just things that are really fantasies as opposed to realities of what might really happen on Valentine's Day."
Daniels says rather than fantasize about the grandiose plans your partner is likely not making, lower your expectations and communicate to your love about what you would like to do on Valentine's Day:
(Daniels) "It's more important to focus on the kind of relationship that you're having and the person you're having the relationship with. So expecting to have a romantic evening expecting to spend time really celebrating your love and celebrating each other and coming up with things that work within your budget and that work in your lifestyle."
Remember, you don't have to break the bank to have a romantic Valentine's Day.
