Special Needs Student Sinks Final Shot of High School Game
A heart-warming video is a viral slam dunk.
FOX’s Krystin Goodwin has the details:
A touching moment caught on camera. An Oklahoma high school basketball team subbed in a special needs student to take the final shot of the game.
Lainy Frederickson of Norman High School, is a veteran of the Special Olympics. On Friday, in the last few seconds of the girl’s basketball game against a rival team, Lainy hit the court to take the last shot of the night.
She shoots and… Nails it, the crowd goes wild! The sideline races on to the court. The team won 57 to 35. The inspiring shot was shared on Twitter.
Lainey says she loved “everybody being there, and “just loved it.”
