Dog Food Recall

A dog food recall because of a sometimes deadly ingredient.

    FOX’s Jill Nado explains:

One dog has died, five others reportedly sickened after eating Evanger’s Hunk of Beef canned dog food. Several lots of the food getting recalled after one batch tested positive for the barbiturate Pentobarbital.

That’s a drug used to euthanize animals. It’s also been used for executions of convicted criminals.

Evanger’s has been in business for 82 years and never had a recall in all that time until now. The company says the affected meat came from one supplier, and they’re no longer doing business with that supplier.
