Hugh Hefner Series to be Released in 2017
Amazon has released details on its upcoming docu series on Playboy founder and icon Hugh Heffner.
FOX’s Michelle Pollino reports:
Amazon is adding an original docu series and it comes with bunny ears… Hugh Hefner. “American Playboy: The Hugh Hefner Story” will span the publishing icons six-decade career and the history of the brand he created, with 17,000 hours of never-before-seen footage and content from over 2,600 of Hefner’s personal scrapbooks:
(Hefner) “What I was trying to create quite frankly, was simply a lifestyle magazine for single guys.”
That’s Hef on biography… The series will air next year. Among the topics “American Playboy” will cover will be Hefner’s support of social justice and First Amendment rights as Deadline reports, including the fight to legalize same-sex marriage and the pro-choice movement.
