ISIS Supporter Gets 12 Years in Jail

A Mississippi woman who at one point planned her “honeymoon” to actually be a trip to join ISIS has received her federal sentence.

FOX’s Gurnal Scott has the story:

Jaelyn Young was given 12 years by a federal judge after pleading guilty earlier this year to supporting a terrorist group.

Young and her fiance were arrested last year boarding a flight for Turkey. In a farewell letter, she said she arranged the trip and made ISIS contact, but those contacts were actually FBI operatives.

They told the FBI they wanted to be medics treating the wounded, but court papers told a different story of desiring to fight alongside terrorists.

The fiance has also pleaded guilty to terror charges and will be sentenced later this month.
