Oklahoma Republican Senator Markwayne Mullin joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to shed light on the chaos that is likely to ensue if President Biden ultimately decides to suspend his 2024 re-election campaign.

“Even if he resigns, what are you going to get? Because remember at the at the convention, if he gets up there and he releases his delegates, right. So now you release your delegates and your delegates get to pick somebody, and suddenly it becomes an open convention, and there is no telling what would happen, because keep in mind, your delegates typically are on the fringe of the party, so they’re more your activist. So, you know, in the Republican version, you’re going to have a lot more activists that’s on the farer right side of the of the party than they will be in the middle. And so the Democrats are going to be no different. You’re going to have far left individuals that support Ocasio-Cortez, right, who supports this, you know, this movement that you’re seeing on campuses and this woke direction that they’re trying to take the country. So who are you going to end up with? If you open it up, even though you might say you want Hakeem Jeffries as the next person, who I believe that’s who the Democrat Party probably wants, I don’t I don’t think they can actually dictate how that outcome comes. Which is why another reason why I think that they’re going to be doing it is a roll call. And not as convention as a whole, because it’s the convention as a whole, you can lose control of it. And it’s a lot harder to lose control of it over a zoom meeting.”

Senator Mullin also tells Jimmy why he believes former President Trump is in as good of a position as ever following his strong debate performance against Biden. To hear what else they discussed, check out the podcast!
