Democratic strategist Kevin Walling joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to share his thoughts on how the popularity of social media has impacted the general election cycle.

“I work in political consulting. It used to be back in the day, people would zero in after Labor Day. Right? In September, you’d spend most of your campaign dollars in TV messaging, all that kind of stuff. Door knockers. Now it’s 24/7. We’ve got a four year presidential term and they’re right out of the gate still doing it. I mean, Donald Trump, you know, I think when he was elected in ’16, like the day after he was elected, then filed for reelection. And started that process again. Same with Joe Biden. So it’s like there is no break anymore. And it’s even worse if you’re in Congress. Because that’s a two year term. You get elected and you start calling people for money immediately and campaigning and TV ads and paid media. So, you know, I totally get the collective exhaustion bit about all of it.”

Jimmy and Kevin also recap their eventful experience on the red carpet for Fox News Saturday Night at the 2024 White House Correspondents’ Dinner. To hear everything they discussed, check out the podcast!
