Rep. Roy had this to say about the recent meeting by members of the GOP at the southern border:

“I have enormous respect for Speaker Johnson and for my colleagues who went and went down to South Texas. And I understand it. But those who don’t know the border very well, I hope they got a first hand glimpse. But there were a number of reasons I didn’t go… I don’t want to go down and be a part of a show. I want us to actually do something about this.. And so that’s what I chose to focus my time on yesterday.”
