This Week:
Today, half of the eligible U.S. population is fully vaccinated, with more than 90% of Americans over 65 having received at least one dose of the vaccine. The United States now has more vaccines than those looking to be inoculated. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine joins the podcast to discuss the success of the Vax-a-Million program in his state, vaccine hesitancy, and the responsibility of the United States to provide vaccines to other countries.
President Biden is overseas on his first foreign trip since taking office. The President will meet with G7 leaders in the United Kingdom, then heads to Brussels for the NATO summit and will end his international trip in Geneva with a sit down meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss the recent cyber and ransomware attacks, Russia’s election interference and its behavior on the Ukraine border. FOX News Washington Correspondent Rachel Sutherland and former CIA Chief of Station and FOX News Contributor Dan Hoffman discuss the upcoming talks between the two presidents.
Vice President Kamala Harris made her first international trip this week, visiting Guatemala and Mexico to address corruption in these countries amid the record migrant surge at the U.S. southern border. Republicans have blamed the increase of border crossings on the Biden administration’s immigration policies, while also criticizing the Vice President for still not making a trip to the southern border. FOX News National Correspondent Bryan Llenas travelled with Vice President Harris to Guatemala and Mexico and he tells Rachel what he saw on the ground and the Vice President’s messaging to the countries she visited.
This week, infrastructure talks between Senator Shelley Moore Capito and President Biden ended without a resolution. By Thursday, though, a bipartisan group of 10 Senators announced a new framework that will reportedly cost $1.2 trillion over eight years and according to Senator Mitt Romney is “fully paid for”. Fox News Congressional Correspondent, Chad Pergram, discusses the future of this framework in a very partisan Congress.
