New Security Procedures Landing at Airports

On your next trip through airport security you will likely see more thorough checks of particular carry-on items.

FOX’s Gurnal Scott with the story:

Last month Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly mandated stepped-up airport checks:

(Kelly) “A clear path to encourage airlines and airports to adopt more sophisticated screening approaches.”

10 airports around the country, including LAX, Logan in Boston, Phoenix Sky Harbor and Boise are setting the pace, now asking passengers to place all electronic devices larger than a cell phone in separate bins.

TSA agents will also help passengers organize bags for optimum screening. These procedures will be standard in nearly 300 airports and more than 100 countries in the coming months to help offset increasing air travel threats.
