“Strategic Patience with North Korean Regime has Failed” – President Trump

President Trump explained the new approach for handling North Korea at a joint press conference with South Korea’s President Moon Jae-in.

FOX’s Jon Decker reports from the White House:

With President Trump growing increasingly frustrated with North Korea’s provocations, the President said that the diplomatic approach for dealing with Pyongyang’s nuclear and ballistic missile tests is not working:

(President Trump) “The era of strategic patience with the North Korean regime has failed. Many years and it’s failed. And frankly, that patience is over.”

The President has expressed disappointment that China hasn’t done more to pressure North Korea, which depends on China for most of its trade.
