Health Care On Hold as Senate Republican Leaders Find Consensus on New Provisions

President Trump suggested in a tweet if Senate Republicans can’t agree on a health care bill, they should immediately repeal ObamaCare then to try to replace it later.

FOX’s Jared Halpern has more from Capitol Hill:

Senate Republican leaders will spend this Fourth of July recess trying to find consensus on new provisions to a health care bill, but if that doesn’t work, President Trump and a couple of Senate conservatives say it’s time to move on to a full repeal now and replacement measure later:

(Sasse) “I want maximum repeal. As much repeal as we can get under these arcane budget reconciliation rules. Then I want a conversation about real replace.”

Nebraska Republican Ben Sasse also says Congress should cancel the August break and craft a replacement bill before Labor Day.
