President Trump: Comey “Wasn’t Doing a Good Job”
President Trump has given his reason for firing James Comey as FBI Director.
FOX’s Jon Decker has the details from the White House:
President Trump defended his decision to fire James Comey and accused Democrats of hypocrisy for bashing his dismissal of the FBI Director that they too had criticized:
(Reporter) “Why did you fire Director Comey?”
(President Trump) “Cause he wasn’t doing a good job, very simply. He was not doing a good job.”
Earlier in a series of posts on Twitter, the President said he was justified in dismissing Comey because Democrats and Republicans had lost faith in his leadership.
Democrats, meanwhile continue to attack the firing, saying the President clearly was trying to upend the FBI investigation into the Russian meddling during the presidential election.

The Democrats have said some of the worst things about James Comey, including the fact that he should be fired, but now they play so sad!

James Comey will be replaced by someone who will do a far better job, bringing back the spirit and prestige of the FBI.

Comey lost the confidence of almost everyone in Washington, Republican and Democrat alike. When things calm down, they will be thanking me!
