DOJ: Hire Americans for Jobs

The Department of Justice is giving a warning to U.S. companies about their hiring practices.

FOX’s Tonya J. Powers has more:

“America First” isn’t just a slogan from the Trump administration, it’s a new warning coming from the Justice Department.

The DOJ is telling U.S. companies they should hire Americans for jobs, and that warning has teeth. It says it will investigate and prosecute employers that overlook qualified Americans for jobs. The move appears to be a hardline approach to tackling H-1B visas.

U.S. citizenship and immigration services also announced it would step up its review of employers that use the visas, saying american workers who are “qualified, willing, and deserving” have been unfairly disadvantaged.

President Trump had sought to end the visas, but has yet to issue an order on the matter.
