U.S. Official: “Clock Has Now Run Out” on North Korea

The U.S. is reacting to news that North Korea fired a ballistic missile that the Pentagon says was likely a failure.

FOX’s Jon Decker has more from the White House:

The ballistic missile launch by Pyongyang came hours after President Trump described North Korea’s pursuit of a nuclear arsenal as a “humanity problem” and a senior U.S. official said that the “clock has now run out” on North Korea.

In a terse statement, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said, “North Korea launched yet another intermediate range ballistic missile. The United States has spoken enough about North Korea. We have no further comment.”

During an upcoming two day summit, President Trump is likely to urge Chinese President Xi Jinping to take up stronger role in pressuring the North to abandon its nuclear ambitions.
