Jimmie Johnson joined some elite company after his win on Sunday.

FOX’s Matt Napolitano reports:

Jimmie Johnson’s fifth win of the season earned him his seventh career Sprint Cup.

The No. 48 Lowe’s Chevy taking the checkered flag in Sunday’s Ford Eco-Boost 400 to clinch the cup, tying Johnson for the most of all time with Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt.

(Knaus) “Jimmie Johnson, man I am so proud of you, so proud of you. You’re a good man, you’re a great champion. Now you’re seven-time champion brother.”
