Country Icon Loretta Lynn Continues to Recover from Fall
Loretta Lynn is doing better after cancelling her Labor Day concert and Jason Aldean talks about his CMA snub again.
FOX’s Michelle Pollino has “FOX Country”:
I’m Michelle Pollino.
Country icon Loretta Lynn is is still recovering from a fall. She was forced to cancel her Labor Day weekend appearance at her ranch in Tennessee. The 84-year-old was scheduled to perform with her sister, Crystal Gayle, as they do every Labor Day, but this year when fans showed up, they were informed at the gate that the legendary singer-songwriter had been injured. Gayle went on with the show with Lynns’s twin daughters, Peggy and Patsy, doctors say an X-ray image revealed that there were no broken bones and just a few bruised ribs.
And Jason Aldean got lots of love from the Academy of Country Music in 2016, but the reigning ‘Entertainer of the Year’ will not be taking home any Country Music Association Awards because the CMA’s completely passed over Aldean in the nominations. He wasn’t all that surprised though, telling ‘Taste of Country’, “I’ve learned not to assume anything at this point.”
