Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's running mate once thought former President Bill Clinton should resign.
FOX's Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:
Vice-Presidential nominee Tim Kaine said years ago that President Bill Clinton should have stepped down over the Monica Lewinsky affair.
He made the remarks in 2002, while reacting to another separate scandal involving a Virginia Congressman.
Yesterday, Kaine confirmed the comments to KWWL-TV in Iowa, adding that 20 years ago he was disappointed, but there's no reason to re-litigate old problems when Americans want to talk about the economy.
He also said past controversies aren't really important to voters.
