Vandalism at Two Southern California Mosques

Vandalism at two Southern California mosques is being investigated as hate crimes.

FOX News’ Tonya J. Powers has the story:

Police in Hawthorne, California, along with the FBI, are looking for the person responsible for vandalizing two mosques there.

The bomb squad was called to the Ahmadiyya Mosque around 6:30 Sunday morning after a device that looked like a hand grenade was found in the driveway. The word “Jesus” was sprayed in white paint on the fence outside.

Mosque members say they’d rather be safe than sorry…

(Member) “There was graffiti outside on the wall and on our gate and the word ‘Jesus’ was written on our gate and the cross was made on the windows.”

Police got another call that the phrase “Jesus is the way” was spray-painted in front of the Islamic Center of Hawthorne a short distance away.
