Christmas Tree Arrives at the White House
The holiday season has officially begun in our nation’s capital.
Fox News’ Jon Decker reports from the White House:
With the first dogs Bo and sunny by her side, First Lady Michelle Obama received this year’s White House Christmas tree in the North Portico of the White House.
The 18-1/2 foot Fraser fir from Lansdale, Pennsylvania will be on display in the Blue Room at the White House throughout the holiday season.
(Michelle Obama) “This is the tree that we use to honor our military,our main tree, and we’re looking forward to it being the focal point of the decorations this year.”
Next Thursday, President Obama will light the National Christmas Tree as part of an annual tradition started by President Calvin Coolidge in 1923..
