Retailers Expect High Numbers This Holiday Season

Retailers are expecting us to shop a little more this holiday season.

FOX News Radio’s Dave Anthony reports:

For Wal-Mart and Target, stores at the mall, even mom and pop shops…

(Andy Williams) “It’s the most wonderful time of the year.”

And they’re expecting us to buy more in November and December. The National Retail Federation predicts we’ll spend $630 billion, nearly 4% more than a year ago. We could also spend another $105 billion shopping online… while the rest of us have a bigger list than that.

So a PwC survey says people who make over $50,000 a year plan to spend $1,331 buying holiday gifts, that’s more than last year. But those who earn less than $50,000 have a $681 budget on average, which would be less than their 2014 spending.
