The Pizza Hut smartphone app can apparently come in handy for things besides ordering pizza.
FOX News Radio’s Pat O’Neill explains:
When Cheryl Treadway and her three kids were being held hostage by her boyfriend… she got an idea.
The Avon Park, Florida woman asked the man…Ethan Earl Nickerson if she could call for a pizza. When she ordered it, using an app, she added under the special instructions… ”Please help. Get 911 to me.”
Pizza Hut Manager Candy Hamilton:
(Hamilton) “So we knew something wasn’t right… I’ve never seen nothin’ like that. So I called my boss and he said ‘Call 911 immediately’.”
Nickerson…who allegedly had a knife…was arrested and faces multiple charges including aggravated assault with a weapon without intent to kill.
