House of God or House of Horrors? – Part 3
In the previous two shows I talked about the scandal that is plaguing Grace Cathedral and its Pastor, Ernest Angley. I had the privilege of speaking with 5 guests who shared their anguish and grief caused by – according to them – Ernest Angley and his establishment. In this show I go to the source of where this story got out, by talking to the man who got in.
Our guest is Bob Dyer, who has been with the Akron Beacon Journal since 1984 and served as a feature writer, a radio/TV writer and a general-interest columnist. Bob’s stories and columns have won 59 regional and national awards. In 2008, the National Society of Professional Journalists voted him Best Columnist in the nation. He has been named Best Columnist in Ohio by at least one professional journalism organization for seven consecutive years. And to top it off he was one of the lead writers for A Question of Color, a yearlong examination of racial attitudes in Akron that won a Pulitzer Prize in 1994.
Bob shares his investigation into the allegations at Grace Cathedral and his own personal account of his one-to-one meeting with Ernest Angley.
