Russia Stockpiling Snow
It’s something you probably thought you’d never hear… Russia is stockpiling snow.
FOX News Radio’s Jessica Golloher explains why from Moscow:
That’s right, Moscow is hoarding the white stuff like a doomsday-prepper saving canned goods. Russia’s Olympic committee is afraid that Sochi, the host of the Winter Olympics next year, won’t have enough snow for events. So volunteers are trying to get 16 million cubic feet to safeguard it for the Games.
The powder is being put in special areas and covered with layers of thick insulated blankets with reflective surfaces. Wooden planks are then piled on top. Let the games begin.
