Milk & Sugar: Sugar Recalled Due To Creamer In Canisters

There’s a nationwide recall of Diamond Crystal sugar after a consumer found something other than sugar inside the canister.

FOX News Radio’s Eben Brown reports:

Diamond Crystal says non-dairy creamer ended up in canisters labeled for sugar, and was shipped out that way.  The wrongly-filled canisters were packed in cases labeled for non-dairy creamer.  The creamer itself is safe, but it’s made with a milk-derived product, and people with milk allergies or sensitivities could be at risk if they ingest it thinking it’s sugar.  It’s affecting canisters labeled as “GFS Sugar” with a lot number of “G293B.”
