Is There a Link Between Coffee & Cancer?
The news that may perk up coffee drinkers…
FOX’s Lilian Woo reports:
Coffee is no longer on the list of things that could possibly cause cancer.
Experts brought together by the World Health Organization’s cancer research arm declaring there isn’t enough proof to show the brew is linked to cancer. Although that same report warns drinking “very hot” beverages of any kind could potentially up your risk of the disease.
Scientists seeing unusually high rates of esophageal cancer in countries such as China, Iran and certain South American ones where drinking very hot beverages is common.
The caffeinated drink once suspected of being linked to bladder cancer. Some recent studies seem to show coffee drinkers had a lower risk for cancers of the liver and womb.
