FBI Director Says Orlando Shooter Acted Alone
The Director of the FBI says the gunman behind Sunday morning’s mass murder in Florida had radical beliefs, but apparently wasn’t part of any terrorist organization.
FOX’s Steve Taylor reports from Washington:
FBI Director James Comey says that, for now, it appears the Orlando killer was acting alone:
(Comey) “So far, we see no indication that this was a plot directed from outside the United States and we see no indication that he was part of any kind of network.”
He was influenced by ISIS, sure, Comey says, but he adds that the murderer also claimed allegiance to some enemies of ISIS.
The FBI interviewed the man three years ago. He admitted making pro-terrorist remarks, but claimed he did it out of anger at co-workers who were teasing him.
