Donald Trump Clarifies Mexican Judge Comments

Tuesday was a day of criticism from Republicans of Donald Trump’s comments about the judge presiding over Trump University lawsuits has the Republican nominee responding.

FOX’s Jared Halpern has more from Washington:

The presumptive Republican nominee says his comments about the federal judge overseeing Trump University lawsuits have been misconstrued… Donald Trump says he does not feel one’s heritage makes them incapable of being impartial, but adds Judge Gonzolo Curiel has made unfair rulings.

Earlier comments arguing the judge’s association with Latino groups and Mexican heritage created a conflict of interest, have dominated questions to top Republicans like Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell:

(McConnell) “It’s time to quit attacking various people that you competed with or various minority groups in the country and get on message.”

Illinois Republican Senator Mark Kirk has reversed his endorsement, saying now he won’t vote for Trump.
