San Bernardino Hearing Held to Learn More About First Responders’ Actions
California lawmakers want to see if lessons can be learned from the way first responders reacted to the San Bernardino terror attack in December.
FOX’s Tonya J. Powers has details:
The hearing was called for by San Bernardino assemblyman Freddie Rodriguez, who wants to know more about first responders’ actions that worked in the moments following the husband and wife attack that killed 14.
A similar hearing was held following the 2013 shooting death of a TSA worker at the L.A. airport, which resulted in new state legislation that required agencies to cooperate on active shooter training.
Sheriff’s officials and an emergency room doctor are expected to testify.
In recent weeks, police and sheriff’s officials and federal agents have been commended for their quick, coordinated response to the shootings. But there have been questions about whether patients could have been transferred quicker.
