Man Stabbed and Killed Over N.J. Devils Hat in Philadelphia

    A fight over a hat lands a man in jail on a murder charge.

    FOX’s Dave Anthony reports:

    They started arguing at around three in the morning early Sunday. Colin McGovern and a friend of his getting into it with a man in Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse Square over the man’s hat.

    A New Jersey Devils hockey team cap which they didn’t like in Flyers country. Well, it got heated and McGovern ended up lying on a sidewalk with multiple stab wounds in the torso.

    He then died at a hospital:

    (Brown) “We do have some video footage of the incident.”

    Philadelphia Police Captain Nicholas Brown. They tracked down the Devils cap wearing suspect and Steven Simminger is charged with murder and other offenses.
