Apple Taken Down in Supreme Court over eBooks
A defeat for Apple at the Supreme Court.
FOX’s Jon Decker has more from the White House:
The Supreme Court has declined to hear Apple’s challenge to an appellate court decision that it conspired with five publishers to increase the price of ebooks, as a means of competing with Amazon.
The Court gave no reason for denying Apple’s challenge to a June 2015 ruling by the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
The decision means that Apple will now have to pay $450 million as part of a settlement associated with Apple’s liability for engaging in a conspiracy that violated federal antitrust laws.
