Candidates Looking To New Hampshire

Candidates who barely registered in Iowa are eyeing a turn of fortune in New Hampshire.

FOX’s Jared Halpern looks at the upcoming primary:

As Iowans were gathering to caucus this week, Governors Chris Christie, Jeb Bush and John Kasich were already stumping in New Hampshire…

(Kasich) “We’ve got a great ground game here. We are in second place in New Hampshire and we have decided this was the place where we could really breakout.”

But the top finisher in Iowa, Senator Ted Cruz, is also hoping to build on his Hawkeye momentum, arriving in New Hampshire shortly after his Monday night win.

(Cruz) “Ya’ll treat politics in New Hampshire like we treat football in Texas.”

…That borrowed from Cruz’s Iowa stump speech.

Democrats, meantime, are coming off the closest Iowa Caucus ever.

(Clinton) “We’re bringing all the energy, all that excitement, all that determination, right here to New Hampshire.”

But unlike Iowa, expectations are far more dim for Clinton in New Hampshire. Bernie Sanders, from neighboring Vermont, has held a double digit lead in the polls.
