Chipotle Set to Close All Restaurants For Company-wide Meeting in February
The popular restaurant chain Chipotle has a plan to deal with health concerns that have dogged the chain in recent months.
FOX’s Jeff Monosso reports:
Denver based Chipotle says it’ll close more than 1,900 restaurants for a few hours February 8 as the company franchizees and associates take up several outbreaks of E. coli, salmonella, and norovirus that sickened hundreds of customers in over a dozen states late last year.
Federal authorities have opened a criminal investigation, a string of lawsuits have been filed and the company’s sales have also plummeted, but CEO Steve Ells said this week that he’s hopeful the CDC will soon declare the outbreaks are over…
Telling us that Chipotle has made improvements and that its food is as safe as it’s ever been before.
