Just Mayo Says It’s Keeping Their Name
A condiment by any other name…
FOX’s Chris Foster, on a Federal food decision:
The product ‘Just Mayo’ gets to keep calling itself that, in an agreement with the Food and Drug Administration.
It sent a warning letter to the food company ‘Hampton Creek’ in August, warning the product was misbranded, because mayonnaise has eggs. ‘Just Mayo’ does not, it’s vegan.
The name can stay, as long as the label makes clear, the product does not contain eggs.
