Six Members of a Central New York Church Behind Bars for a Fatal Assault

Six members of the Word of Life Church in Central New York are behind bars for a fatal assault. They’re suspected of trying to beat two brothers into confessing their sins.

FOX News Radio’s Gurnal Scott has the story:

The mother and father of the two brothers are among those in custody. Bruce and Deborah Leonard allegedly beat the eldest son, a 19-year-old. The other four church members are being held for attacking the 17-year-old-boy, he’s listed in serious condition.

Details of the attack have not been released, but investigators questioned several people at the building and placed kids they found there with child welfare officials. 

Lawyers for the Leonards aren’t commenting. Police in New Hartford say more arrests are expected.
